Access is currently limited to a selected group of existing users, picked directly by the team for testing. No open sign-ups: if you want to try it, you need an invite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What it offers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yoota.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/tuta-drive-cross-sync.tZUGMfAb_ZDmF46-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9655\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The main feature is end-to-end encryption applied by default to all files, using post-quantum resistant algorithms. Like Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar, the architecture is zero-knowledge: even Tuta cannot access stored content. Servers are located in Germany with full GDPR compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this beta phase, you can already upload files, sync them across devices, and use the service as a backup system. Access is limited to the web client for now, available on both mobile and desktop. Native apps for Android and iOS plus desktop clients for Linux, Windows, and macOS will come in a later phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The project behind it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yoota.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/tuta-drive-on-mobile.q_7TQGyS_2ctea2-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9656\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuta Drive is the result of the PQDrive project, launched in 2023 with 1.5 million euros in funding from the German government under the KMU-innovativ program for cybersecurity research. Development is happening in collaboration with the University of Wuppertal, which contributes on the encryption side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project follows PQMail, completed with the integration of post-quantum encryption across all Tuta Mail accounts. No specific timeline has been announced.
