Bitwarden Password Manager for Android is now at version 2026.4.0, bringing a useful feature for anyone storing files in their vault: attached images can now be previewed before downloading them, without needing to open each file individually.
Fixes and improvements
The update addresses a crash that occurred during autofill on sites with special characters in URIs, a bug that made password filling unreliable in certain scenarios. There’s also a fix for the passphrase generator, which was inserting spaces as separators even when not configured to do so. TOTP codes now display with uniform alignment in the vault screen, a minor improvement that makes scanning codes less of a visual hassle.
Bitwarden maintains a list of privileged browsers for FIDO2 authentication on Android, open to community contributions. This release adds CalyxOS’s new Chromium key ahead of schedule, signed with the fresh HSM infrastructure the project has been building following internal changes in 2025. The builds using the new package aren’t out yet, but CalyxOS contributors have already laid the groundwork.
The Authenticator app receives the same version number without specific updates.
